Surrounding Communtities

Marinette County and Menominee County offer a rich history representative of both Wisconsin and Michigan. Logging, mining, industry, farming, fishing and the fur trade attracted people to the area from all parts of the United States and the world. The area is home to communities that offer a snapshot into this rich past. Close to the real estate at Three Rivers Landing several communities reflect this history as well as provide modern conveniences.

Surrounding Communities

Wausaukee - Named for a Native American word meaning "Among the Hills," this small town of over 1,500 year-round residents has been incorporated for over 100 years. Just a few miles from the Three Rivers Landing property, this quaint town provides an easy place to find gas, groceries, a dinner out or an ice cream.

Amberg - Named after W.A. Amberg, owner of the local granite quarry, Amberg was a boom town in the late 1800's and early 1900's. The granite quarries around Amberg supplied some of the beautiful red and grey stonework still visible today in Chicago, Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Minneapolis and St. Paul. Today, Three Rivers Landing property owners will find Amberg serves as a small hub for area property owners in need of fuel, supplies or a café.

Surrounding Communities

Pembine - The town of Pembine was named after the Pemebonwon River which means cranberry in the Menominee language. Pembine started as a logging community in 1887. With the logging boom long since over, Pembine is a small community offering a grocery store, a sporting goods store, restaurants and a bank.

Marinette/Menominee - Situated on the Bay of Green Bay, commuting between Marinette and Menominee was done by canoe until 1867 when the first bridge was constructed across the Menominee River. Only about 35 minutes away from Three Rivers Landing, these two small towns provide shopping, restaurants, hospitals, marinas and seasonal festivals that celebrate the region.

Green Bay - As the gateway to Northeastern Wisconsin, Green Bay is a large small town which offers all of the conveniences that anyone could want in close proximity to their "Up North" getaway place. With arts, medical facilities, shopping, restaurants, festivals, a full service airport and, of course, the Green Bay Packers the benefits of being close to this small city will provide an entirely new aspect rarely found in northwoods real estate.
